Sleep Deprivation Experience (Farrington High School) – Table 19
Drowsy drivers are just as dangerous as alcohol-impaired drivers, causing thousands of crashes on our highways. What does fatigue feel like when driving due to lack of sleep? Experience it with this teaching tool on sleep impairment.
Brain Concussion Goggles (Aiea High School) – Table 20
The concussion goggle helps participants understand the potentially debilitating effects of a concussion. Students will experience a concussion’s effects on balance and coordination as they try to walk in a straight line. They also will see how brain injury can impact memory and concentration.
Lex Brodie’s Tire, Brake & Service Company – Table 26
Learn how to perform tire maintenance by checking the tire pressure with a tire pressure gauge, and tread depth using the Penny Test, and determining the condition of the tires. The student will understand how to care for tires, and determine if they need new tires and buy the correct tires.

Keiki Injury Prevention Coalition – Table 1
Partners from the Keiki Injury Prevention Coalition (Kapiolani Medical Center, The Queens Medical Center, and the Department of Health Neurotrauma Services) will be on hand to provide free educational materials on proper safety precautions for young children, distracted driving prevention, and avoiding traumatic brain injuries. There will also be Stop The Bleed training.
