Hawai‘i’s Best Mocktails Raises more than $12,000 for Kokua Ag & Culinary Fund
In partnership with the Hawai‘i Food & Wine Festival, DTRIC Insurance reimagined its annual Hawai‘i’s Best Mocktails as a virtual event and raised $12,475 to benefit the Kokua Ag & Culinary Fund.
The donation included a $5,000 gift from DTRIC Insurance, as well as the proceeds from ticket sales from the November 5 virtual event.
The Hawai‘i’s Best Mocktails campaign encourages responsible alcohol consumption with alcohol-free cocktails that provide tasty drink options for designated drivers. This year’s event served as a fundraiser to support programs that help Hawai‘i’s agricultural, culinary, and hospitality industries, and their employees, that have been widely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Michele Saito, President & CEO of DTRIC Insurance, presented $12,475 raised through the Hawai‘i’s Best Mocktails virtual event to Denise Hayashi Yamaguchi, Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer of the Hawai‘i Food & Wine Festival. Participants purchased mocktail and meal kits, and Honolulu mixologists guided them through the creation of their favorite mocktails and answering questions live along the way while enjoying pupu prepared by Chef Jon Matsubara of FEAST. Proceeds raised will benefit the Kokua Ag & Culinary Fund.
