DTRIC And Agency Partners Raise More Than $40,000 For Island Food Banks
DTRIC Insurance, its employees, and its agency partners donated a total of $40,584 to food banks across the state to help feed Hawaii’s families in need.
“As an essential business, the DTRIC team and our agency partners have been able to continue working, while not all companies were this fortunate,” said Michele Saito, president and chief executive officer of DTRIC Insurance. “We are proud to support the vital work of the food banks across the state to help keep Hawaii’s families from going hungry.”
DTRIC and its employees challenged their agency partners to raise funds for the Hawaii Foodbank, Maui Food Bank, Hawaii Food Basket on Hawaii Island, and Hawaii Foodbank Kauai through a virtual food drive. The insurance company committed to matching agents’ donations dollar for dollar up to $25,000 statewide. The donations from the food drive resulted in the following contributions to the food banks across the state:
- Hawaii Foodbank Oahu $30,146
- Maui Food Bank $ 3,516
- Hawaii Food Basket $ 3,768
- Hawaii Foodbank Kauai $ 3,154
Total $40,584
DTRIC and its agency partners held virtual check presentations with representatives from the respective food banks on Tuesday, July 21 and Wednesday, July 22, 2020.
