August has been declared Drive Aloha Month by Gov. Ige!
We kicked off the month with a Drive Aloha Fair at Tamarind Park asking the downtown crowd to pledge to commit to practicing safe and courteous habits on the roads and having fun with Drive Aloha selfies.
In 2018, 43 pedestrians were killed across the islands in traffic accidents, up a whopping 207% from the year before! It’s a sobering reminder that we must all do our part to make our roads safe for everyone. Even one traffic fatality is too many.
Mahalo to all of you who have taken the Drive Aloha pledge and encouraged others to join the Drive Aloha movement. We appreciate your commitment and support as our Drive Aloha Ambassadors.
Thank you for your commitment to Drive Aloha today and every day. Let’s be sure to practice Drive Aloha habits all year long!
